Because the parties were still finalizing the issues list, they jointly requested that the Tribunal defer consideration of all status requests until a second CMC.

The Tribunal found this approach reasonable, scheduled a second CMC, and directed the parties to submit a draft order with finalized issues lists in advance.

The Ontario Land Tribunal held a Case Management Conference to obtain status updates on the remaining appeals of the City of Toronto's comprehensive Zoning By-law No. 569-2013.

The Tribunal received updates on various issue-specific and site-specific appeals, noting ongoing settlement discussions.

The Tribunal directed all appellants to provide written updates to the City regarding their intentions to continue settlement discussions or provide an issues list, and scheduled a further Case Management Conference for June 2026.

The Tribunal held a first Case Management Conference regarding appeals by 110 Sheppard East GP Inc. against the City of Toronto's refusal of Official Plan and Zoning By-law Amendment applications.

The Tribunal consolidated the appeals, granted party status to Kenneth-Sheppard Limited, approved the Procedural Order and Issues List, and scheduled a 10-day video hearing for July 2026.

The City of Toronto brought a motion seeking to confirm the unappealed portions of Official Plan Amendment No. 499 (Golden Mile Secondary Plan), approve proposed modifications, and adjourn remaining site-specific appeals.

The Tribunal accepted the uncontested land use planning evidence that the modifications represent good planning and are consistent with provincial policies.

The Tribunal approved the modifications, confirmed the unappealed portions, and granted the requested adjournments on consent of the parties.

The applicant appealed the City of Toronto's failure to make a decision on a zoning by-law amendment and site plan application to permit a 20-storey building that retains a heritage church building.

At the first Case Management Conference, the Tribunal granted party and participant status to several local residents and corporations.

Due to an outstanding heritage matter and ongoing discussions, the Tribunal scheduled a second Case Management Conference for December 15, 2023.

The Ontario Land Tribunal held a third Case Management Conference regarding multiple appeals of the City of Guelph's adoption of Official Plan Amendment No. 79, which introduces the Clair-Maltby Secondary Plan.

The parties requested a revised procedural order with a staggered schedule for document exchange to allow more time for ongoing settlement discussions.

The Tribunal approved the revised procedural order, finding that the staggered approach would not prejudice any party and would provide flexibility for continued settlement efforts.

A fourth Case Management Conference was scheduled for December 5, 2023.

The City of Toronto brought a motion to settle two appeals regarding its adoption of the Sherway Area Secondary Plan and Official Plan Amendment 469 (OPA 469).

The settlement proposed minor modifications to Policy 5.9A to clarify the application of mitigation measures for sensitive land uses near major transportation facilities.

Based on uncontradicted expert planning evidence, the Tribunal found the modifications represented good planning, were consistent with provincial policies, and satisfied legislative tests.

The Tribunal approved the settlement and allowed the appeals in part to bring the agreed-upon portions of OPA 469 into force.

The Ontario Land Tribunal issued an amending decision pursuant to Rule 24.4 of its Rules of Practice and Procedure to correct a technical error in a previous decision issued on June 22, 2023.

The amendment updated paragraph 14 to include the specific audio-only telephone line numbers and access code for persons wishing to connect to the event.

In all other respects, the original decision remained unchanged.

Pursuant to Rule 24.4 of the Tribunal's Rules of Practice and Procedure, the list of appearances was amended to add S. Kaufman as counsel for three of the parties.

A Case Management Conference was held regarding appeals of the City of Guelph's Official Plan Amendment No. 79 (Clair-Maltby Secondary Plan).

The Tribunal granted Party Status on consent to the Foundation for the Support of International Medical Training Inc. The parties submitted a draft Procedural Order and Issues List, noting that 13 issues remained outstanding pending upcoming Tribunal-assisted mediation.

The Tribunal approved the revised Procedural Order and scheduled a further Case Management Conference for September 2023.

The appellants appealed the City of Toronto's approval of site-specific Zoning By-law Amendments permitting a 13-storey residential building.

Following successful Tribunal-led mediation, the parties reached a settlement involving revised building setbacks and balcony locations.

The Tribunal allowed the appeals in part, approving the revised Zoning By-law Amendment based on uncontested expert planning evidence that the proposal represented appropriate residential intensification.
