The Ontario College of Teachers brought discipline proceedings against a teacher who had been convicted of refusing a breath sample, drove students to a soccer tournament while his driver's license was suspended, and was found guilty of communicating for the purposes of obtaining the services of a prostitute.
The Discipline Committee found the teacher guilty of professional misconduct for failing to maintain the standards of the profession, engaging in disgraceful, dishonourable or unprofessional conduct, and conduct unbecoming a member.
The Committee ordered a three-month suspension of his Certificate of Qualification and Registration.
