At the discipline hearing, the parties presented a joint submission requesting the withdrawal of the Notice of Hearing in exchange for the member's resignation, surrender of his teaching certification, and an undertaking never to teach again.

The Discipline Committee accepted the joint submission, noting that proceeding with a hearing would be detrimental to the victim, who no longer resides on the continent.

The Committee directed that the College Register record the member's resignation during professional misconduct proceedings following his conviction.
