The Ontario College of Teachers alleged that the member verbally, physically, psychologically, and emotionally abused students and neglected her teaching duties.
The Discipline Committee heard evidence from multiple students, parents, and colleagues regarding the member's conduct, which included calling students derogatory names, pushing a student's head into a water fountain, and using inappropriate language in the classroom.
The member did not attend the hearing.
The Committee found that the member committed acts of professional misconduct by failing to maintain the standards of the profession and engaging in disgraceful, dishonourable, and unprofessional conduct.
