The applicant union filed applications for certification, a related employer declaration, and an unfair labour practice complaint against the responding parties.
The parties entered into Minutes of Settlement resolving all issues.
Based on the settlement and the results of a representation vote in which more than 50% of the ballots were cast in favour of the union, the Board issued certificates to the union for the industrial, commercial and institutional sector and all other sectors in the specified geographic areas.
The Board also declared the responding parties to be a single employer under section 1(4) of the Labour Relations Act, 1995, and permitted the withdrawal of the unfair labour practice complaint.
