The Registrar of the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario issued a Notice of Proposal to revoke the liquor licence of Darchris Productions Inc., operating as Solid Gold Adult Entertainment, following a series of altercations at the premises involving a part-time disc jockey and police officers.
The Board found that the Licensee permitted quarrelsome, violent, or disorderly conduct to occur on the premises, in violation of s. 45(1) of Ontario Regulation 719/90.
However, the Board did not find that the Licensee's conduct afforded reasonable grounds for belief that the business would not be carried on with integrity and honesty under s. 6(2)(d) of the Liquor Licence Act, nor did it find that the Licensee obstructed or failed to facilitate a police inspection.
The interim suspension of the licence was ordered to continue pending a subsequent hearing on the appropriate sanction.
