The applicant appealed the City of Toronto's failure to adopt a requested Official Plan Amendment to redevelop the Richard L. Hearn Generating Station into a mixed-use neighbourhood.

At a Case Management Conference, the Toronto Port Authority, Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing, GFL Environmental Inc., Amrize Canada Inc., and Portlands Energy Centre L.P. sought and were granted party status on consent.

A second Case Management Conference was scheduled to allow the parties to finalize a draft Procedural Order and issues list.

The Ontario Land Tribunal held a Case Management Conference regarding appeals by the applicant against the municipality's failure to make decisions on applications for an Official Plan Amendment, Zoning By-law Amendment, and Draft Plan of Subdivision.

The parties reached a settlement, and the applicant filed a motion for approval of the settlement instruments.

The Tribunal issued a procedural order setting deadlines for responding materials from non-consenting parties and scheduled the motion to be heard in writing.

The Ontario Land Tribunal issued an amending decision to correct technical and typographical errors in a Replacement Decision and Order dated April 7, 2022.

Pursuant to Rule 24.4 of the Tribunal's Rules of Practice and Procedure, the Tribunal deleted and replaced the Title of Proceeding and the Appearances section.

In all other respects, the original Replacement Decision and Order remains unchanged.

At a Case Management Conference regarding an appeal of the City of Toronto's failure to pass a zoning by-law amendment, the Ontario Land Tribunal granted party status to an abutting property owner and participant status to two nearby property owners.

The Tribunal also scheduled a further Case Management Conference to finalize the Procedural Order and Issues List.

This was the first Case Management Conference for an appeal by York-Kirtling Inc. regarding the City of Toronto's failure to make a decision on a Zoning By-law Amendment application for 2 Valleyanna Drive.

The applicant proposes to retain an existing heritage gatehouse and create four new dwelling units.

The Tribunal granted party status to the Valleyanna Residents' Association and participant status to two local residents.

A further Case Management Conference was scheduled for December 17, 2021.

The moving party sought leave to appeal an order of the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal concerning the designation of certain properties under the Ontario Heritage Act and the interpretation of provincial and municipal heritage planning provisions.

The Divisional Court granted leave to appeal on two specific questions of law relating to the Tribunal's consideration of the Ontario Heritage Act, the Provincial Policy Statement, the Growth Plan, and the municipal Official Plan.

Costs of the motion were fixed and reserved to the panel hearing the appeal.
