Liquor license suspended for 10 days for after-hours service, permitting drunkenness, and obstructing police inspection.
The Registrar issued a Notice of Proposal to suspend the Licensee's liquor license for alleged violations of the Liquor Licence Act, including serving alcohol after hours, permitting drunkenness, and obstructing an inspection.
Police officers observed the owner serving beer after hours and attempting to conceal the evidence by having her husband pour it down the sink.
The officers also observed intoxicated patrons.
The Licensee admitted to the breaches.
The Board found the breaches were serious and deliberate, but noted the Licensee's intention to sell the business.
The Board ordered a 10-day suspension of the liquor license.
