The member was found to have engaged in professional misconduct for failing to adequately supervise and discipline students, resulting in a student being hit by another student, and for using a teaching technique that embarrassed a student.
At the penalty hearing, the Discipline Committee accepted a joint submission on penalty.
The member was ordered to receive a reprimand, which will be recorded on the Register, and to successfully complete a pre-approved course on classroom management and instructional strategies.
