The Member, a Registered Nurse and former Director of Resident Care at a long-term care facility, faced allegations of professional misconduct.
The allegations included failing to ensure appropriate hiring practices, failing to review and compile monthly reports, failing to sign and follow up on medication incident reports, failing to report and investigate critical incidents, and failing to appropriately store and dispose of medication.
The Member admitted to the allegations through an Agreed Statement of Facts.
The Discipline Committee found that the Member committed professional misconduct and engaged in dishonourable and unprofessional conduct.
The Committee accepted a Joint Submission on Order, imposing a reprimand, a seven-month suspension, and terms, conditions, and limitations on the Member's certificate of registration.
