The Registrar sought a 60-day suspension of the Licensee's liquor licence for various alleged violations, but the Board only found contraventions of subsections 31(1)(c) and 33(1) of O. Reg. 719/90, relating to purchasing alcohol off licence and bringing personal alcohol into a licensed area.
In written submissions on sanction, the Registrar requested a 14-day suspension, while the Licensee requested a warning.
The Board found that a warning was insufficient given a previous warning, but a 14-day suspension was too severe.
The Board ordered a 5-day suspension of the liquor licence as a specific and general deterrent.
