The Ontario College of Teachers brought a discipline proceeding against a member who had been convicted of possession of child pornography under the Criminal Code.
The member did not attend the hearing.
The Discipline Committee found that the member committed professional misconduct by failing to maintain the standards of the profession, contravening the Education Act, and engaging in disgraceful, dishonourable, and unprofessional conduct.
The Committee ordered the immediate revocation of the member's Certificate of Qualification and Registration.
