The applicant union referred a grievance to the Ontario Labour Relations Board under section 133 of the Labour Relations Act, 1995, alleging that the responding party employer violated their collective agreement.
Prior to the scheduled hearing, the parties reached a settlement.
The Board issued a consent order incorporating the terms of the settlement, which included a declaration that the employer was bound by the collective agreement, a declaration that it had violated the agreement, and an order to pay $8,022.88 in damages to the union.
