Commission sets dates for 90-day driving suspension after Divisional Court denies stay pending judicial review.

The Standardbred licensee applied for judicial review of an Ontario Racing Commission ruling that suspended him from driving for 90 days for violating Rule 22.10.

His motion for a stay pending judicial review was denied by the Divisional Court.

The Commission ordered that his 90-day suspension be deemed to have commenced on June 8, 2002, and continue until September 5, 2002.

Agreement reached for two-year racing licence suspension to commence June 14, 2002.

The Ontario Racing Commission issued an order by agreement regarding Standardbred owner, driver, and trainer Arthur Balson.

Balson was previously issued a two-year suspension and a $12,000 fine pursuant to Commission Ruling 8/2002.

By agreement between Balson and the Commission Administration, the two-year suspension period will commence on June 14, 2002.
