The Ontario College of Teachers brought a discipline proceeding against the Member, alleging professional and sexual misconduct in his high school classes.
The Discipline Committee found that the Member engaged in professional misconduct by yelling at students, publicly sharing their grades, and telling them not to have hope, which amounted to verbal, psychological, and emotional abuse.
The Committee also found that the Member engaged in sexual misconduct by repeatedly making a sexually suggestive comment to a student about playing with his chalk.
The Member was found to have breached the standards of the profession and engaged in disgraceful, dishonourable, and unprofessional conduct.
