[1] On May 6, 2019, I released my endorsement (copy attached) confirming that in accordance with the Order of Justice Sossin dated April 3, 2019 (copy attached), I have been assigned as the Case Management judge in actions CV-18-00608711-0000; CV-19-00000122-0000; CV-19-00613417-0000; and CV-19-00616871-000 and any further or subsequent actions which have been or will be commenced arising directly or indirectly from the incident, subject to any further order of the Court.

[2] Following the stay contained in Justice Sossin’s order dated April 3, 2019 and my endorsement dated May 6, 2019, counsel for Aviva General Insurance Company (“Aviva”) wrote to me requesting leave to bring a motion on notice to all parties to currently known actions to amend Justice Sossin’s order to allow Aviva to be added as statutory third party in various actions which have been commenced.

[3] I direct that any request for leave be made by way of a motion in writing returnable before me, on notice to all necessary parties, in accordance with the procedure set-forth in rule 37.12.1(4) of the Rules of Civil Procedure, R.R.O. 1990, Reg. 194. (Opposed Motions in Writing). I direct that counsel for Aviva provide a copy of this endorsement with attachments and a copy of their correspondence dated May 27, 2019 to all represented and self-represented parties in all actions commenced to date regarding the incident.

[4] I direct that a copy of this endorsement with attachments is to be sent by facsimile transmission by this court to the Toronto South Detention Centre, 160 Horner Avenue, Toronto, Ontario, and M8Z-0C2 to the attention of Alek Minassian and that same be delivered to him.
