COSTS ENDORSEMENT

[1] On October 9, 2018, I heard a motion brought by Ms. Kaur by which she challenged the retainer agreement between herself and the Respondent law firm. By my endorsement, dated November 23, 2018, I dismissed Ms. Kaur’s motion and directed that the Assessment Hearing scheduled for December 3, 4, and 5, 2018 proceed.

[2] On the issue of costs, I ordered that any party who was seeking costs in relation to the motion shall file written costs submissions within 45 days of November 23, 2018 and that responding written submissions be filed within 15 days of being served with the opposite party’s written submissions. I also ordered that if neither party served and filed written submissions within 45 days of the date of that decision, then there shall be no Order as to costs.

[3] Neither party filed any written costs submissions.

Order

[4] With respect to costs relating to Ms. Kaur’s motion, dated September 24, 2018 and heard on October 9, 2018, there shall be no costs.
