On appeal from the conviction entered, and the sentence imposed, on September 28, 2009, by Justice Ian Nordheimer of the Superior Court of Justice, sitting with a jury.
APPEAL BOOK ENDORSEMENT
[1] The appellant’s counsel made a comprehensive and highly professional argument in this tragic case.
[2] However, in our view this is a case that demands only one result. We agree with Nordheimer J.’s reasons and with his disposition.
[3] Only an adult sentence properly achieves the accountability of the appellant for this horrific crime. Importantly, it also allows for the potential rehabilitation of the appellant and his re-integration into society.
[4] The appeal is dismissed.
