Tribunal approves modified Mount Dennis Secondary Plan following settlement between the City and appellant.
The Tribunal held a settlement hearing regarding appeals of the City of Toronto's adoption of Official Plan Amendment 571, which introduces the Mount Dennis Secondary Plan.
Following Tribunal-assisted mediation, the remaining active appellant, Hollis Dev LP, and the City agreed to modifications that clarify policies, provide development flexibility, and remove redundancies.
Relying on uncontested expert planning evidence, the Tribunal found the modified OPA 571 represents good planning, is consistent with provincial policies, and aligns with the City's Official Plan.
The appeal was allowed in part to approve the modified OPA, with site-specific appeals by KingSett Capital deferred.
