Tribunal approves settlement for four-unit townhouse development, finding it consistent with provincial and municipal planning policies.
The applicant appealed the City of Toronto's failure to make a decision on a Zoning By-law Amendment application to permit the redevelopment of a property into four three-storey townhouse units.
Prior to the hearing, the parties reached a settlement based on a revised proposal that included measures to protect mature trees and respect the adjacent Nordheimer Ravine.
The Tribunal accepted the uncontested expert planning evidence that the revised proposal was consistent with the Provincial Policy Statement, conformed to the Growth Plan and the City's Official Plan, and represented good land-use planning.
The Tribunal allowed the appeals in part and withheld its final order pending the fulfillment of conditions.
