Tribunal approves settlement modifying Official Plan Amendment 727 to permit townhouses and small-scale apartments.
The appellant appealed the City of Toronto's adoption of Official Plan Amendment 727 and Zoning By-law Amendment 608-2024, which introduced permissions for townhouses and small-scale apartments along major streets.
The parties reached a settlement resolving all remaining issues.
Based on uncontested expert planning evidence, the Tribunal approved the proposed modifications to OPA 727, finding they represent good planning, are consistent with the Provincial Planning Statement, and align with the City's Official Plan.
The appeal of ZBA 608-2024 was dismissed as no part remained in issue.
