Tyler Gipson, previously found not criminally responsible for criminal harassment and being unlawfully in a dwelling house, appeared before the Ontario Review Board for a mandatory review of his disposition.
The Board found that he continues to pose a significant threat to public safety due to his diagnoses of schizophrenia and severe methamphetamine use disorder, alongside a history of medication non-compliance and vulnerability to peer influence.
The Board ordered the continuation of his Detention Disposition with amendments allowing for indirect passes into the community and giving the hospital flexibility to approve unsupervised accommodation.
