CASE MANAGEMENT CONFERENCE ENDORSEMENT
[1] The primary purpose of this case management conference was to address the parties’ efforts to obtain and provide clarity around the scope of the plaintiff’s claims. The plaintiff has recently delivered a proposed amended statement of claim to address the issues arising from demands for particulars and written interrogatories delivered by the defendants.
[2] The defendants require additional time to review the proposed claim to determine if they will consent to the amendments, the impact the amendments will have on the timetable and trial preparation, including the scope of expert evidence required, and the scope of any motion that is required.
[3] I will hold a further case management conference on March 16, 2023 at 2 p.m. for two hours to address these issues. If a motion is necessary, I will schedule and timetable it at that case conference.
[4] In addition, Ontario advised me that the process is underway to secure the identified venue for the intervention motions and prepare for the hearing of those motion in the plaintiff’s community. I have asked Ontario to keep me apprised as the process continues.
