REASONS FOR DECISION
Overview
[1] The parties cannot agree on which school to send their 7-year old twin boys to for Grade 2. Each party brings an urgent motion regarding schooling. I agree that the motion is urgent as the current school year begins in 3 weeks.
[2] The children are fluent in French, their father’s first language. They speak some Spanish, their mother’s first language. The parties disagree on the children’s facility in English. The mother claims it is very weak. The father claims it is adequate for their age. The applicant mother wants the children to attend J.R. Wilcox Community School, an English secular school in the Toronto District School Board (TDSB). The father wants the children to attend École élémentaire catholique du Sacré-Coeur, a school in the French Catholic School Board
