[1] Ms Atas has written to say that the reason she cannot attend the case management conference on September 14th is because that is the deadline for her to perfect her appeal in the Court of Appeal. She does not explain why she cannot complete the work required to perfect the appeal by September 13th, and then file her materials with the Court of Appeal on September 14th.

[2] This court commences a jury trial on September 17th which is expected to continue for several weeks. This case requires a case management conference soon, so that matters may continue to move forward. I do not accept that holding the case management conference prior to the deadline for Ms Atas to perfect her appeal will preclude her from meeting that deadline.

[3] It would be possible for the court to schedule the trial management conference on a date earlier than September 14th, but that would not affect the time available for Ms Atas to perfect her appeal.

[4] The case management conference will proceed on September 14th, at 9 am, as scheduled. If Ms Atas requires an hour during the day to attend at the Court of Appeal office to file her appeal materials, the court will accommodate that requirement.
