Costs Endorsement

[1] The plaintiff, Hakim Optical, which was wholly successful in this motion rendered April 25, 2017, seeks its costs on a substantial indemnity basis in the total amount of $13,941.12. Its partial indemnity costs amount of $10,821.31.

[2] In general, costs are awarded to the successful litigant and are intended to indemnify the successful party for some of its costs incurred.

[3] I have reviewed the bill of costs submitted by Hakim Optical and find it to be reasonable and proportionate. I have taken into consideration the factors set forth at Rule 57.01 of the Rules of Civil Procedure.

[4] The plaintiff, Hakim Optical, is entitled to its partial indemnity costs in the amount of $10,821.31, all-inclusive, payable forthwith by the responding party, Helen Phillips.
