[1] The Applicant moved successfully for temporary joint custody and shared parenting time: 2017 ONSC 1697. He now asks for substantial indemnity for his costs fixed at $8,000, of which $2,500 forthwith. The Respondent submits that an appropriate award would be $2,500, payable by deduction from any equalization payment.

[2] The Applicant was the successful party. In my view the objects of Rule 24 of the Rules of Civil Procedure would be served by partial indemnity in the amount of $2,500 payable by the Respondent to the Applicant forthwith. I order the Respondent to pay costs accordingly.
