2421593 CANADA INC., THE CO-OPERATORS GROUP LIMITED, FEDERATED AGENCIES LIMITED, VANCOUVER CITY SAVINGS CREDIT UNION and 7081332 CANADA LTD. Defendants
BEFORE: Newbould J.
COUNSEL: Geoff R. Hall and Jacqueline Cole, for the Vancouver City Savings Credit Union and 2421593 Canada Inc. (formerly Vancity Insurance Services Ltd.) Barry H. Bresner, for the The Co-operators Group Limited, Federated Agencies Limited and 7081332 Canada Inc. J. Anthony Caldwell and Marg A. McKillop, for the plaintiffs
ENDORSEMENT
[1] Further to my cost endorsement of October 17, 2016 and paragraph 16 in which I raised questions regarding certain disbursements of Co-operators, I have now received a letter from Mr. Bresner of October 18, 2016 with an explanation of those disbursements. No response has been received from the plaintiffs.
[2] I am satisfied based on the explanation of Mr. Bresner that the disbursements of $4,026.07 for photocopies/binding/scanning and $7,380.30 for laser printing are reasonable and these amounts are to be paid by the plaintiffs to Co-operators. I would add that these high amounts would have been substantially less if electronic production and electronic forms of evidence had been used, the fault of which cannot be laid solely at the feet of Co-operators.
