[1] This Trial Management Conference was convened in order to schedule the trial dates for these proceedings and to schedule the next steps to be taken before trial. I make the following orders:
The trial is scheduled to commence October 16, 2017 for six to eight weeks.
The Defendant, Yan, shall circulate a draft Statement of Defence within 30 days of today’s date.
The cross-examination Of Robert Pritchard (in advance of trial) is to take place by July 22, 2016. Any revision to Mr. Pritchard’s affidavit is to be completed by June 30, 2016.
A further referral to mediation is to be completed by October 31, 2016.
The Plaintiff is to deliver an expert report on the issue of solicitor negligence by January 15, 2017.
The Defendant Yan is to deliver his responding expert report by March 15, 2017.
The Plaintiff is to deliver an update expert report on Damages by January 15, 2017.
The Defendant Peterson is to deliver his responding expert report by March 15, 2017.
The trial Management Conference is adjourned to Apr 10, 2017 at 10:00 am to review the status and to schedule the remaining steps.
