Costs Endorsement
[1] The plaintiff was successful at trial. The defendant is in substantial agreement with the amounts in the plaintiff’s costs outline and submissions.
[2] There are three issues raised by the defendant that I agree with. They are as follows:
The plaintiff is entitled to the cost of airfare to attend the trial and return home. She is not entitled to travel costs to attend the pre-trial hearing since she could have participated by teleconference.
The travel receipts submitted by the plaintiff do not coincide with the trial dates. The plaintiff is entitled to the travel costs associated to the trial and should provide the proper receipts.
The prejudgment interest should be based on 16 months rather than the 19 months claimed.
[3] Subject to the above items the plaintiff is entitles to the costs and disbursements set out in the Bill of Costs.
