ENDORSEMENT
[1] The court convened to hear an appeal from a decision of the Licence Appeal Tribunal, involving the question of whether the respondent, Mr. Lopez’s licenses as a horseperson, exercise person and association official should have been reinstated by the Tribunal.
[2] At the beginning of the hearing, Mr. Lopez advised the court that he had not received the appellant’s materials owing to issues with his technology and mail delivery service. He confirmed that the court and the parties were using a correct email address for him, but material was not coming through. He wishes to have the material, and to participate in the appeal. Mr. Lopez also advised the court that he will create a new email address to ensure he receives future notifications and material.
[3] Neither the appellant, nor the intervenor opposed the request for the adjournment. Counsel for the appellant advised the court that he provided hard copies of the factum, appeal book and compendium and the oral compendium to Mr. Lopez. Counsel for the appellant has also undertaken to provide Mr. Lopez’s new email address to the court to ensure that further communications are brought to Mr. Lopez’s attention.
[4] Accordingly, the panel granted Mr. Lopez’s request for an adjournment and after hearing from the parties as to their availability, scheduled this appeal to be heard on April 17, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. for ½ day.

[5] Mr. Lopez will have until March 11, 2024 to serve, file and upload his materials to CaseLines for consideration on the appeal, if he chooses to prepare responding material. The panel urges him to consider seeking assistance from a lawyer about how to take these steps if he chooses to file material.
[6] A copy of this endorsement shall be placed before the panel assigned to hear the appeal on April 17, 2024.
