BETWEEN
Director, Family Responsibility Office for the benefit of Chantal Chouinard
Applicants (Appellants)
and
Steve Chouinard
Respondent (Respondent)
Danette A. Edwards and Edward S. MacDonald, for the Applicant Director, Family Responsibility Office
Heard: October 1, 2008
On appeal from the Order of the Justice Michel Z. Charbonneau of the Superior Court of Justice, Family Court, dated January 14, 2008.
APPEAL BOOK ENDORSEMENT
[1] The matter involves a claim for less than $25,000 and a judgment in an amount of less than $25,000. The impugned part of the Order (para. 3) referable to the Director’s right to the statutorily mandated enforcement fee cannot be construed as a free-standing declaration but is rather an explanation for a denial of part of money ($400) claimed by the Director in the proceedings.
[2] This Court has no jurisdiction to hear the appeal. The appeal is quashed without prejudice to commencing an appeal in the proper forum.
