INTRODUCTION

1This is an application under s. 68.1 (4) 5 of the Child and Family Services Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. C11, as amended.

2The Applicant is a grandmother who requested that the Society facilitate contact between her and her granddaughter. She had service complaints about how the Society dealt with her request. She made the application to the Board on May 10, 2012.

3The Society challenged the Board’s jurisdiction and after hearing from the parties, the Board released a decision confirming its jurisdiction on November 13, 2012.

4On January 28, 2013, the Board commenced a hearing on the merits of the Application on the issue of:

Whether the Society provided the Applicant with reasons for its decision relating to the Applicant’s requests for contact/facilitation of contact with her granddaughter.

5Prior to the completion of the hearing, the parties reached an agreement and the Applicant withdrew her Application before the Board.

6This Application has been withdrawn and the file is now closed.
