Refund & Cancellation Policy
Last updated: June 1, 2026
1. Free trial
minicounsel Pro includes a 7-day free trial. You will not be charged during the trial. If you cancel before the trial ends, you will not be charged at all.
2. Billing & auto-renewal
When the free trial ends, your subscription automatically converts to a paid plan and your payment method is charged CA$99/month (or the annual rate you selected). Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled beforehand. You acknowledge this when you start checkout.
3. How to cancel
You can cancel your subscription at any time — it takes under a minute and requires no email or phone call:
- Go to your Account page at minicounsel.ca/account.
- Click Manage billing to open the secure billing portal.
- Select Cancel subscription.
If you cancel, you keep access until the end of the current billing period, after which you are not charged again.
4. Refunds
Because we provide a free 7-day trial that lets you fully evaluate the product before any charge, subscription fees are generally non-refundable and we do not pro-rate partial billing periods. That said, we want billing to be fair:
- If you were charged after the trial and did not use the product, contact us promptly and we will review your account usage and, in good faith, issue a refund where appropriate.
- We refund duplicate or erroneous charges in full.
Please reach out to us first — we are responsive and would much rather resolve a billing concern directly than have you file a chargeback.
5. Contact
For any billing question or refund request, email support@minicounsel.ca and include the email address on your account. We typically respond within one business day.
