This is a costs decision following a one-day child support trial.
The court imputed the respondent father's income at $35,000 per annum and ordered him to pay child support of $830 per month for four children, retroactive to July 1, 2012, while dismissing the applicant mother's claim for contribution to section 7 special expenses.
The mother sought costs of $3,500 inclusive of fees, disbursements, and HST.
The court awarded costs in full, finding the mother was successful, had made a reasonable settlement offer that was not accepted, and that the father had acted unreasonably by failing to provide timely financial disclosure, being found not credible, underreporting income, and ceasing child support payments.
