The offender pleaded guilty to possession of methamphetamine, heroin, and cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, as well as possession of a prohibited weapon and resisting arrest.

The Crown sought a global sentence of 3.5 years less pre-sentence custody, while the defence sought time served and probation.
The court sentenced the offender to a further 2 years imprisonment on top of 443 days of pre-sentence custody credit, along with a lifetime weapons prohibition and a secondary DNA order.
