Motor vehicle inspection station licence and mechanic registration revoked for issuing fraudulent safety certificates.
The Director of Vehicle Inspection Standards proposed to revoke the appellant's Motor Vehicle Inspection Station licence and mechanic registration.
The appellant appealed the proposal.
The tribunal found that the appellant had issued numerous safety standards certificates without inspecting the vehicles, issued certificates for vehicles that did not meet minimum safety standards, failed to complete required inspection reports, and failed to maintain proper inspection equipment.
The tribunal concluded that the Director established the grounds for revocation and directed the Director to carry out the proposal.
