Settlement approved modifying Official Plan Amendment 18.8 to increase density and extend Local Centre Designation.
The Tribunal held a written hearing to consider a settlement between Yonge and Bloomington Ltd. and the City of Richmond Hill regarding an appeal of Official Plan Amendment 18.8.
Based on the uncontroverted land use planning evidence of Megan Cobbold, the Tribunal found the settlement modifications—which extended the Local Centre Designation, increased maximum density to 2.5 FSI, and identified planned local streets—were consistent with the Provincial Planning Statement and conformed to the applicable official plans.
The appeal was allowed in part and OPA 18.8 was approved as modified.
