The applicant, a black male of Caribbean origin, alleged that his supervisors discriminated against him based on race, colour, place of origin, and ethnic origin by speaking to him in a demeaning and disrespectful manner on two occasions.
The Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario found that while the supervisors may have been abrupt or disrespectful, the applicant failed to provide direct or circumstantial evidence linking the treatment to a prohibited ground under the Human Rights Code.
The application was dismissed.
