The College of Nurses of Ontario brought disciplinary proceedings against a member for professional misconduct.
The member admitted to falsely representing herself as a Registered Nurse (RN) to her employer, clients, and colleagues, and falsifying her employment history, while only registered as a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN).
The Discipline Committee accepted an Agreed Statement of Facts and found the member committed professional misconduct.
The Committee accepted a joint submission on penalty, ordering an oral reprimand, a 30-day suspension of her certificates of registration, and a $1,000 fine.
