The Ontario Human Rights Commission brought a motion seeking the disclosure of minutes from the respondent Friendship Centre's Board of Directors meetings dating back to May 1992.
The underlying complaint alleged breach of a prior settlement agreement and reprisal.
The Board of Inquiry granted the motion, finding that the requested documents were arguably relevant to the issues in dispute, including how positions were funded and filled, and whether the board manifested a hostile attitude towards the complainant.
The respondents were ordered to produce the minutes.
