The relief sought to permit the fund to invest up to 15% of its net assets in each of the 10 largest North American life insurance companies, contrary to the 10% concentration restriction in NI 81-102.

The Manager also sought relief to use the fund's pre-conversion performance data in sales communications.

The Ontario Securities Commission granted the requested relief, subject to conditions including disclosure in the prospectus.

The Filer applied for an exemption under section 19.1 of National Instrument 81-102 to permit the Fund to change its fundamental investment objective without obtaining prior unitholder approval.

The change was necessitated by federal tax amendments that eliminated the tax-advantaged nature of the Fund's forward agreements.

The Ontario Securities Commission granted the exemption, provided the Filer gives unitholders at least 60 days' written notice of the change and its reasons.

The filer, 1832 Asset Management L.P., applied to the Ontario Securities Commission for exemptive relief to extend the lapse dates of the simplified prospectuses for two mutual funds.

The extension was sought to align the renewal dates with 102 other mutual funds managed by the filer, thereby reducing costs and administrative burden.

The Commission granted the relief, finding that the extension would not affect the accuracy of the information provided to investors or be prejudicial to the public interest.

The Filers applied to the Ontario Securities Commission for exemptive relief to extend the lapse date of the simplified prospectus and annual information form of the Fidelity Floating Rate High Income Fund from September 26, 2014, to October 30, 2014.

The extension was requested to align the Fund's prospectus renewal with that of 96 affiliated mutual funds managed by the same manager, thereby reducing costs and allowing investors to more easily compare the funds.

The Commission granted the requested relief, noting that there had been no material changes to the Fund and that the extension would not be prejudicial to the public interest.

The applicant, Northwest & Ethical Investments L.P., applied for exemptive relief on behalf of its Corporate Classes from paragraph 2.5(2)(b) of National Instrument 81-102.

The relief sought to permit each Corporate Class to invest in a Trust Fund that holds more than 10% of its net asset value in other Underlying Funds, creating a multi-tier fund structure.

The Ontario Securities Commission granted the exemption, finding it would be more efficient and less costly for the Corporate Classes, provided the investments otherwise comply with section 2.5 of NI 81-102 and the simplified prospectus discloses the name of the Trust Fund.

The applicant applied for exemptive relief on behalf of a mutual fund to change its fundamental investment objective without securityholder approval and to permit a three-tier investment structure.

The fund sought to invest directly in a trust fund, which in turn invests in third-tier funds, due to the elimination of tax benefits associated with character conversion transactions.

The Commission was satisfied that the change of control would not negatively impact the management and administration of the Funds or the Manager's ability to fulfill its regulatory obligations.
