The worker appealed decisions determining they had reached maximum medical recovery (MMR) without a permanent impairment and denying entitlement for psychotraumatic and chronic pain disabilities following a workplace slip and fall.
The Appeals Resolution Officer found that while the worker reached MMR, they sustained a permanent exacerbation of a pre-existing degenerative low back condition.
Furthermore, the evidence supported that the worker's psychological conditions (MDD, GAD, and PTSD) were directly related to the workplace accident and extended disablement.
The appeal was allowed in part, granting entitlement for psychotraumatic disability and recognizing a permanent impairment.
