Appeal dismissed; police conducted a reasonable search for requested human rights investigation records.
The appellant submitted a request under the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act for the results of an investigation by an Ontario Human Rights Commission employee.
The York Regional Police Services Board denied access, stating the record did not exist.
The appellant appealed, arguing the record should exist based on a 1983 letter.
The Inquiry Officer found that the Police conducted a reasonable search, including reviewing meeting minutes and rough notes, and confirming with the OHRC employee that no such report was prepared.
The decision of the Police was upheld.
