The employer objected to the allowance of initial entitlement for the worker's left and right hand injuries, which had been allowed on an aggravation basis.
The worker claimed the injuries resulted from keyboarding and mousing at work.
However, the evidence showed the worker had a pre-existing bilateral arm condition from a non-compensable motor vehicle accident (hit and dragged by a TTC bus) for which she was undergoing chronic pain assessments just prior to both claimed workplace accidents.
The Appeals Resolution Officer found no evidence of a work-related accident or increase in workload that caused or aggravated the pre-existing conditions.
The employer's objections were allowed and initial entitlement for both claims was revoked.
