AND IN THE MATTER OF 2005 LIVE AND INTERTRACK RACE DATES
WINDSOR RACEWAY
On January 18, 2005, Vice-Chair Larry Todd, and Commissioners Bernard Brennan and David Gorman convened to hear a revised race date application from Windsor Raceway Inc. for Windsor Raceway.
The Ontario Racing Commission, after hearing and reviewing the submissions from the applicant, the Administration and the Ontario Harness Horse Association, unanimously approved the following:
Live Standardbred Race Dates
Windsor Raceway 124
Including all post times as applied for
Intertrack and Simulcast Dates
Windsor Raceway 364
Backstretch Improvement Plans
SUBJECT TO AND CONTINGENT ON the following conditions being agreed to by the applicant, if so advised in writing to the Executive Director, no later than 12:00 noon on Thursday, January 20, 2005:
Windsor Raceway Inc. will add additional dates, appropriately positioned, to bring the total live race dates for 2005 to 131;
Windsor Raceway Inc. will conduct an average of 15 live races per approved date, a commitment that can be altered through joint written agreement with the Ontario Harness Horse Association and through submission in writing to the Commission.
In the case of no acceptance in writing, as described above, this application by Windsor Raceway Inc. will be forthwith rejected, effective 12:01 p.m. Thursday, January 20, 2005.
The Oral Decision forms part of the ruling and formal written reasons will issue at a future date.
