On February 18, 2004, Chair Lynda Tanaka convened to hear teletheatre licence applications from Sudbury Downs Raceway and Woodbine Entertainment Group via teleconference from Toronto.
Jason Hines represented Sudbury Downs Raceway from Chelmsford, Ontario. Brian Brett represented Woodbine Entertainment Group from Rexdale. Manager of Information Services Wendy Hoogeveen represented the Administration in Toronto.
Upon hearing the submissions, the Ontario Racing Commission approved a teletheatre licence as follows:
Licensee: Sudbury Downs Raceway
Site: 820 Red River Road, Thunder Bay, Ontario
Site Operator: 1164362 Ontario Inc., known as Fat Cats
Upon hearing the submissions, the Ontario Racing Commission ruled as follows:
Licensee: Woodbine Entertainment Group
Site: 1603 The Queensway, Toronto Ontario
Site Operator: Chris Simopoulos and Alex Simopoulos, known as Adam’s Rib Restaurant.
Upon receipt of a copy of the Ontario Municipal Board order to approve a minor variance to permit the operation of a teletheatre at Adam’s Rib Sports Bar Restaurant and upon advising the Administration of the opening date, a ruling will be issued granting the teletheatre licence
