IN THE MATTER OF THE RACING COMMISSION ACT 2000, S.O. 2000, c.20;
AND IN THE MATTER OF AN APPLICATION FOR TELETHEATRE LICENCE
On February 7, 2002, Vice-Chair Herbert Bryant and Commissioners Patricia Bullock and Tom Deacon convened to hear a teletheatre licence application from Flamboro Downs Raceway.
Frank Dambrose represented Flamboro Downs Raceway and Brian Brett represented Woodbine Entertainment Group. Dennis Dupuis appeared on his own behalf as the owner/operator of the Black Bull British Pub. Senior Legal Counsel Don Bourgeois and Manager of Information Services Wendy Hoogeveen appeared on behalf of the Administration of the Ontario Racing Commission.
Upon hearing the submissions, the Ontario Racing Commission denied a teletheatre licence as follows:
Licensee: Flamboro Downs Raceway
Site: 1124 Guelph Line, Burlington, Ontario
Site Operator: Black Bull Corp. known as Black Bull British Pub & Restaurant
Upon submission from the Administration, the Ontario Racing Commission cancelled a teletheatre licence as follows:
Licensee: Flamboro Downs Raceway
Site: 264 Dundurn Street South, Hamilton, Ontario
Site Operator: Samantha Franklin, operating as Neighbours Bar & Off Track Betting
effective January 1, 2002.
