ROBERT KING, JR.
Thoroughbred trainer Robert King, Jr. appealed the Stewards’ decision to deny his protest of the claim of horse “MARTRINA” from the 3^rd^ race on May 12, 2001 at Fort Erie.
On May 23, 2001, Vice-Chair Herbert Bryant, Commissioner Thomas Deacon and Commissioner Diane Carlton of the Ontario Racing Commission convened to hear the appeal.
Robert King appeared on his own behalf and Counsel Don Bourgeois appeared for the Administration.
Upon hearing the testimony of Robert King and Steward Richard Grubb, upon reading the exhibits filed, upon hearing submissions on behalf of the parties, the Ontario Racing Commission dismissed the appeal of Robert King, Jr.
The Commission gave oral reasons for its decision which are part of the transcript.
