On June 15, 2001, Vice Chair Herbert Bryant convened to hear an application for a teletheatre licence from Sudbury Downs Raceway via teleconferencing in Toronto. Wendy Hoogeveen appeared for the Administration in Toronto.
By telephone from Sudbury, Mike McKee represented Sudbury Downs Raceway. By telephone from Toronto, Adam Walsh represented the Horsemen’s Benevolent and Protective Association and from Mississauga, Reed Lawson represented the Ontario Harness Horse Association.
Upon hearing the submissions, the Ontario Racing Commission approved teletheatre licences as follows:
Licensee: Sudbury Downs Raceway
Site: 15 Chipman Street, Kenora, Ontario P9N 1V5
Site Operator: Kenwood Hotel (Kenora) Limited, known as Kenwood Hotel
effective June 21, 2001.
Site: 10 Bulmer Avenue, Sudbury, Ontario P3C 3J3
Site Operator: 1094889 Ontario Ltd., known as Tailgate Charlie’s All Star Café
effective June 21, 2001.
Upon hearing the submissions, the Ontario Racing Commission cancelled a teletheatre licence as follows:

Site: 103 Wharf Street, Keewatin, Ontario P0X 1C0
Site Operator: 396888 Ontario Ltd., known as The Lakeshore Hotel
effective immediately.
